The next morning, we started the day off with a long 3-hour drive. We were on our way to our first stop, Prairie Dog Ranch, Phillip SD. When we first arrived, we headed to the gift shop. In the gift shop you can buy the typical things that are in gift shops, shirts, hats, rocks, but one thing was in there that most gift shops don't have. Peanuts. If you haven't already guessed what the peanuts are for I will tell you, they were for feeding the prairie dogs. When we walked out to the field they were in, there were so many burrow holes that you had to watch where you step so you don't trip. When we were out there, there were only about 4 prairie dogs, and two were babies, so that was a pretty cool experience.
